Over 200 companies, from agro-food to ICT, have taken part in recent years to the Region's initiatives aimed at seizing new business opportunities and investments in foreign markets. Among the recently promoted events, there is Sardinia Land of Innovation, realized together with the ICE, the Italian Foreign Trade Agency. The event is included in the three-year program for internationalization, aimed at presenting the Sardinia system with some of the excellences of the ICT sector, to British investors.

The president of the Region, Francesco Pigliaru, and the Regional Minister for Industry, Maria Grazia Piras, participated in the initiative last week in London. "We strongly believe in the potential of our innovative companies and we continue to support the start-ups, helping them to open up to the world. – Pigliaru stressed - The export data continue to give positive signals and encourage us to move forward in this direction, the" Sardinia System "is proving to be able to create networks and to have great potential even beyond national borders".

The event also served to illustrate the Aria, Avio and Sar-Grav projects, considered as promising drivers for the development of the economy and incentives for companies, research centres and universities. "Thanks to this mission, the Sardinian companies will be able to verify, on the British market, the attractiveness of their offer, the opportunity to start a business in the United Kingdom and the possibility of finding investors. - Piras said - In this way we favour the start-up of businesses in Sardinia by British companies; we are the third region in Italy for investments to support companies that aim to export and the data stimulate us to continue on this path ".
