Within the promotional activities of the South Export Plan, ICE, the Italian Foreign Trade Agency, organizes a collective participation in the Green Expo 2019 event, scheduled in Mexico City from 3 to 5 September 2019. The initiative, financed with Ponic funds , is reserved for 8 companies from the less developed regions (Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily) and 4 companies from the Regions in transition (Abruzzo, Molise and Sardinia).

Green Expo is an international trade fair event born from the need to cover the entire environmental sector. The objective of Italian participation is to increase the presence of our SMEs, and in particular, of southern Italian companies, in Mexico, fostering collaborative relationships and creating new business opportunities with local counterparts in a country that increasingly invests in renewable energy sources and on optimal waste management, in a green economy strategy. The 2018 edition of the Green Expo saw the presence of around 10 thousand visitors and over 192 exhibitors from 12 countries around the world.

The Fair is articulated in three days of meetings and matchmaking opportunities. ICE Agency will promote the event through a communication campaign on the official online and offline media of the event to increase the visibility of the collective of companies. In addition, the ICE office in Mexico City will organize a seminar at the Fair, where companies will be able to present their solutions and visit the nearby Industrial Parks. An interpreter is provided for non-exclusive use by participating companies.
