Yesterday, Tuesday 2 September, the directorial decree of 31 July on programming the resources to be allocated to the Patents+, Designs+ and Trademarks+ measures for the year 2024 was published in the Official Gazette. This marks the start of the process of reopening the calls for tenders to ensure continuity in the support of SMEs for the exploitation of industrial property rights. The total budget of 32 million euros to be allocated for grants to SMEs is divided into 20 million for Patents+, ten million for Designs+ and two million for Trademarks+.
Within thirty days, calls for applications will be issued, setting the deadlines for submitting grant applications.
As of this year's edition, the administrative management of these calls for applications passes from the General Directorate for Industrial Property (Italian Patent and Trademark Office) to the General Directorate for Incentives for Enterprises: both these offices are active at the Department for Enterprise Policies.
