"Mediterranean Basin 2014-2020", Sardinia launches the challenge of strategic projects

The Sardinia Region, acting Managing Authority of the "Eni Cbc - Med" programme, recently published a call for strategic projects. The program, whose budget is around 70 million euros, encourages the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, supports education, research, technological development and innovation, promotes social inclusion and the fight against poverty and protects the environment, through adaptation and mitigation actions aimed at climate change.

Public bodies and private entities of the 14 countries participating in the program may submit proposals: Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon. For each project, the European Union will provide a contribution from 2.5 to 3.5 million euros. The intensity of EU aid can cover up to 90% of eligible costs. The remainder will have to be financed by the applicants. Project proposals must be submitted by 3 July 2019.
