The European Investment Bank and SIMEST (“Italian Society for Abroad Joint-Ventures”), a CDP S.p.A. Group company, have signed an agreement to boost the internationalisation of businesses, especially SMEs and mid-caps, investing in green economy and innovation projects in the European Union. The agreement provides for the EIB to grant SIMEST a 46 million euros loan. This will enable access to further medium and long-term subsidised financing on competitive terms, always for the promotion of green economy and innovation. The operation will help to promote investments in the real economy worth more than 90 million euros.
The EIB will also support a free technical advisory service to foster green and innovative projects by SIMEST.
