The State-Regions Conference has approved the draft decree of the Minister of Agriculture and the Ministry of Economy and Finance on "Criteria and methods of implementation of the Fund for innovation in agriculture".
The Fund, established by the 2023 Budget Law, aims to encourage the development of projects destined for increasing productivity in the agricultural, fishing and aquaculture sectors and the dissemination of the best available technologies for the digital management of the company.
A 75 million euros budget is foreseen for the years 2023, 2024 and 2025, and distributed as follows: 10 million euros for 2023, 30 million for 2024 and 35 million for 2025, for businesses located in the areas affected by the recent flood.
The activities of investigation, granting of the supply, monitoring and control will be carried out by Ismea.
Assistance financed through the Fund shall be granted exclusively as non-refundable aids and direct aids; for the reduction of the cost of fees on guarantees issued against bank loans, paid on the part of the investment not covered by the non-repayable aid.
