Exports of products from Sardinia to India last year produced a turnover of over 27 million euros. In most cases, these are products derived from the processing of oil, the extractive sector and industrial systems linked to the refining of crude oil.

Exports of these products, between 2017 and 2018, grew by 161.8%. A small part of these exports, however, also refers to productions of small Sardinian manufacturing companies. In 2018, agri-food products, textiles, wood, leather and metal goods, which flew from the island to New Delhi, were 2.5 million euros.

In the past year, the export of small businesses recorded a surge of 47%, mainly due to the sale of food products. The picture emerged from a recent analysis by the Observatory for SMEs of Confartigianato Imprese Sardegna, on Istat data, on "Exports of Sardinia to India".
