The European Commission will invest 292 million euros in digital technologies and cyber security. This funding is targeted at various sectors: data spaces, European blockchain infrastructures, training courses on advanced digital skills, digital solutions for better public services, pilot projects on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to combat crime and AI testing facilities. The latter will experience AI for production, nutrition, health and intelligent communities. In addition, a 43 million euros investment in grants will support cyber security in the healthcare sector and the establishment of a network of centres to help Member States implement relevant EU cyber security legislation. The deadline for the submission of tenders shall be 17 May 2022.
